The automatic conveyor roller shaft double-end through flat milling machine adopts a symmetrical double-spindle structure and achieves synchronous feed through high-precision linear guides and ball screws. The distance between the two spindles can be flexibly adjusted within the range of 300-2200mm to adapt to conveyor roller shafts with different lengths. The machine tool uses three-edge milling cutters, which can complete the milling of the four flat positions at both ends of the roller shaft in one go. Compared with the single-end processing, the efficiency is more than doubled. The cutting depth can reach 40mm, which can meet the processing requirements of the roller shafts of different sizes.

  • Automatic material queuing feeding system:

In view of the characteristics of the roller shaft as a long shaft workpiece, the machine tool is equipped with a bracket type material queuing feeding mechanism.

  • Stepper motor precision feed system:

The machine tool’s feed system adopts a high-torque stepping motor, combined with a high-precision ball screw pair, to achieve precise feed. During the milling of the flat position of the conveyor roller shaft, the stepping motor precisely controls the cutting depth and feed speed of the cutters according to the programming instructions, so that the dimensional tolerance of the flat position is controlled within the tolerance to meet the usage and assembly requirements of the roller shaft.

Due to the adoption of double-end synchronous processing, the positioning error brought by secondary clamping is avoided. The precise control and closed-loop feedback system of the stepper motor effectively guarantee the dimensional stability during the milling process. The product qualification rate has increased from 85% in the traditional process to over 98%, significantly reducing the scrap rate and rework costs.
